About Concrete Coatings Inc.

Concrete Coatings Inc. was founded in New Orleans in the late 1980s — a time when decorative concrete was still an emerging trade and most contractors were just beginning to understand what polymer-modified coatings could do for outdoor surfaces. From the beginning, the company built its reputation on one thing: doing the work right.

For nearly two decades, the New Orleans office grew steadily, earning a loyal base of residential and commercial clients across the South Shore, North Shore, and surrounding parishes. Then, in August 2005, Hurricane Katrina changed everything.


The storm hit the office hard. Like so many Gulf Coast businesses, Concrete Coatings Inc. faced an uncertain road forward. The decision was made to relocate — first as a temporary measure, eventually as a permanent one. Hammond, Louisiana offered a central position between the recovering New Orleans metro, the North Shore communities of Covington and Mandeville, and the growing Baton Rouge corridor. It made sense. The team stayed.

What might have been an ending became a new chapter. Rebuilding post-Katrina meant working alongside homeowners and property owners who were themselves starting over — restoring pool decks, patios, and driveways that had taken a beating from the storm. That period deepened the company's understanding of what Gulf Coast surfaces actually need to withstand: not just heavy rain and UV, but the full force of what this region can deliver.


Today, from our home base at 19110 Old Covington Hwy in Hammond, Concrete Coatings Inc. serves communities from New Orleans to Mobile, Baton Rouge to Biloxi. More than 37 years in, the work is still done the same way it always has been.
